Training and workshops for organisations and practitioners
Education is part of my work. I’ve tutored and lectured on Master’s programmes in London and Malta, and I supervise other therapists and practitioners. I run courses and workshops too: for people already working in the field, for anyone wanting to bring this kind of work into their own life, and for organisations bringing me in to work with a team on mental health, working relationships, or LGBTQ+ issues.
This isn’t new territory for me. I’ve designed and delivered training in corporate and public service settings, and also worked as a manager within the Employee Assistance Programme at the London Fire Brigade.
What I’m brought in for
For organisations
- Mental health at work: recognising stress, anxiety, depression and burnout early, and knowing what to do when a colleague is struggling. (Sessions can draw on body-based and mindfulness practice where it’s useful.)
- LGBTQ+ lives: minority stress, why someone might be out in one part of their life and not another, what a colleague’s transition actually asks of a team. This isn’t an audit of your policy: it’s an understanding of the people in the room.
- Working relationships under pressure: how a team communicates when things are difficult, where trust breaks down, and what it takes to rebuild it.
None of this is performance training dressed up as wellbeing. The starting point is the people doing the work, not the output.
For practitioners
- Trauma and GSRD: trauma-informed practice and working with gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD), for therapists and other practitioners wanting to bring this into their clinical work.
- Psychedelic-assisted therapy: a grounding in the field for practitioners newer to it, as well as delving deeper into the ethics and demands of the field.
If you’re looking for ongoing case supervision rather than a one-off training, that’s covered on the supervision page.
How this works
There’s no fixed course list here as this is a capability, not a catalogue. Formats are loose by design: a single session, a half-day or a full day; online or in person; in-house for one organisation, or open to people from several.
Tell me what’s going on and what you’re hoping for, and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right person for it. Fees for organisational and practitioner training are quoted per enquiry rather than published as it depends on scope and format.
Self-paced courses
I’m also working on turning material from a course I’ve run before into something self-paced. If you’d like to know when it’s ready, feel free to contact me.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you deliver LGBTQ+ training for workplaces?
Yes. I offer training led by a clinician, not a generic diversity package. It covers things like minority stress, why someone might be out in one part of their life and not another, and what a colleague’s transition genuinely asks of a team.
Can you run mental health training for a team or organisation?
Yes. Sessions can focus on stress, anxiety, depression, burnout and building resilience, pitched to where your team actually is rather than a fixed syllabus.
Do you train therapists in trauma-informed or GSRD practice?
Yes. For practitioners, training covers trauma-informed work and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD), plus a dive into psychedelic-assisted therapy for those newer to the field or who want to delve deeper into the ethics of the subject. For ongoing supervision rather than a one-off training, see the supervision page.
How much does workplace training cost?
It’s quoted per enquiry rather than published as a set fee. It depends on scope, format and number of sessions. Get in touch with what you’re looking for and I’ll come back with a quote.
Is training delivered in person or online?
Both. Formats range from a single session to a half or full day, in-house or open, depending on what suits the group.
