Every new working relationship starts with a free call. It’s a chance for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy or supervision, for me to explain how I work, and for us both to get a sense of whether we’re a good fit. There’s no obligation to continue afterwards.

Sessions run for 50 minutes. For EMDR work, we sometimes agree a longer session together, since trauma processing doesn’t always fit a fixed slot.

Sessions currently take place online. A stable connection on your end helps things run smoothly.

Working online means you can keep your rhythm going even while travelling, without losing continuity. Most people settle into a weekly or fortnightly rhythm – we’ll agree what suits your goals and your diary.

If you need to cancel or move a session, please let me know at least 48 hours beforehand. Outside of an urgent medical reason, sessions cancelled with less notice are still charged in full.

I work on a two-tier fee structure, so a number of sessions stay accessible to people who need a lower rate. Which tier applies depends on your income and the country you live or work in. If cost is a concern, it’s worth raising during the initial call. Due to insurance issues, I do not work with clients residing in Canada or the USA.

Payment is by SEPA bank transfer in euro, to the account details I’ll share once we agree to work together. Fees are payable in full, after any bank transfer charges.

I work mainly in English and Maltese. I also have a comfortable working command of Italian and Spanish, so we can hold sessions primarily in one of these, as long as you’re comfortable enough following English too.

Does health insurance cover sessions with you?

It depends on where you’re insured. I’m licensed with the Malta Psychotherapy Professions Board and hold the European Certificate for Psychotherapy (EAP). A number of health insurances reimburse on that basis while a number of national systems, including Germany and Denmark, don’t reimburse work like this when it falls outside their own registration framework. It’s worth checking directly with your insurer.

Do you bill my insurance directly?

No. You pay for sessions yourself, and I provide an invoice you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement, where your policy allows it.

What do I need from you to claim reimbursement?

Just ask and I’ll send an invoice with the details insurers typically need. Requirements vary, so it’s worth confirming with them first.

Do you work with residents in Canada or USA?

No. Due to additional insurance requirements, I do not offer therapy to residents in Canada or USA.
